Politics and Perceptions: the Middle East After September 11

The essays here are revised from presentations made at a panel organized by the SSRC on Politics and Perceptions: the Middle East After September 11, held at the 2002 American Political Science Association Annual Meeting in Boston, MA. Panelists discussed Arab politics, Islamism, and public perceptions of policy and culture in the Middle East and in the West. Each contributor offers a vantage point not normally found in contemporary public discourse.
